Richard W. Stilson Sr., 83
Austintown… Richard W. Stilson Sr., 83, passed away Saturday morning, March 2, 2024, at the Hospice House, with his family by his side.
Richard was born November 26, 1940, in Youngstown, the son of Wilbert Stilson and Blanche Norman. He was a lifelong area resident.
Richard was a proud US Army veteran having served in country from 1961 to 1964.
He worked as a Baker at Schwebel’s Baking Company in Youngstown for many years and retired in 2002.
Richard was a member of Christ The Good Shepherd Parish in Campbell.
He enjoyed watching TV, and spending time with his family, his great-granddaughter and playing with his dog, Cinnamon.
Richard will be deeply missed by his three sons, Richard Ward Stilson Jr. of Austintown, Ronald William (Monique) Stilson Sr., also of Austintown, and Raymond W. Stilson of Florida; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his brothers, Denny, Ronnie, and Mark Stilson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Donna K. Jones; his second wife, Julianna Gaydos; his son, Russell W. Stilson; sisters, Jay Stilson and Judy Noble and a brother, Frank Stilson.
The Stilson family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 4-6:00 pm. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Robert England will immediately follow at 6:00 pm.
